Hi people, im lookin to buy a snowboard and need some advice!
im off to borovets on the 19th of feb , and i want to buy a snowboard but i am not sure whether to buy one over here in the uk or whether it is cheaper to buy one in boro?
Can any one help me?!?
Thanks alot
Adz
Hi Adz, yes they are cheaper over there, I ride a board but I never priced them up in borovets, priced bindings which would have been 130 quid plus-they were about sixty, so take it from there, you can get all the usual brands too,
Some good advise there and some not so good. Just walk around and get the best price. Getting an Instructor involved will only increase the price. No such thing as a free lunch.
depends on the brand that you re looking for...
for local brands (orion) or well importated ones (Rossignol for example), you will find good deals.
Otherwise you will have better opportunities in UK with foreign brands without a good importation networks.
Personnally I ordered from Bulgaria a Burton snowboard on Ebay
We bought new Burton boots and Burton board which had been used once for a competition, including bindings and a full wax for £120.00.
This was in Borovets but was about 4 years ago. We got talking to to the guys who ran the main rental place (sorry can't remember names) and they took us to their shop.
Sorry can't remember more details - was a long time ago but they're still going strong!
Thanks alot for everyones advice!! One more question though - will it be hard to get it back to the uk comin through at the airport, basically will it cost me alot of money to get it home from bulgaria?!?
