I've been a user of this board for years and for one prefered the old style of forum. Messages on here just drop off the front page too quickly and it could be easily addressed by just having the first message in a tree displayed, with the number of replies next to it. If a post has twenty replies it can take up half a page!

A FAQ section would not go amiss as it may reduce the daily:
euros or levs
is there snow
will it snow
etc etc,

However after a moments thought the people who post such questions without using the simple search function probably would not use the FAQ's either Crying

It would be useful if the forum was split into two sections - one for chat and one for advice.

People seeking advice often don't get answers as the chat takes over and fills the space, leaving a post from only hours earlier hidden in earlier pages, never to be seen again.

For what it's worth, I kind of agree with Rob TK, the basic format is fine, just would be very useful to be able to collapse the threads and therefore increase the number of threads per page.
