it was suggested to have an faq on the most asked questions, to stop repeat postings and so everyone could easily find answers to info the were after , but pamporovo pete thought it was a crap idea and started being an ass! Your not allowed to have ideas for the web site!
Certainly had an impact Trevor, although I am tempted to say live and let live. I'm sure Little Fleety is just having a laugh and, as said already, if you are not interested in her comments, the way this board is set up makes it easy to ignore what you don't want to see.
Still, don't let it curb your own enthusiasum for the site, we can all help each other
That's true, but i've always found that a problem with this type of discussion forum. I often have to check back for older post, but i was doing that even before the postings by younger visiters. It would be helpful if whenever someone replies to a post, it would go back up to the top. However, i'm sure the people who run this site wouldn't have the time or money to sort that out, so we'll just have to make do and keep trawling.
I don't think Trev wanted to single anyone out, or stop the kids from chatting, just wanted a way to seperate out the kid (and adult) chat and "private" messages from the genuine skiing/bulgaria discussions of interest to people generally. Whether that's really needed or feasible or not I don't know, so maybe that's why he was asking for opinions? My opinion FWIW to date is nah, don't need it
You could set up another forum - one serious and one for banter, but what would be the point? I'd have to have another window open cluttering up my desktop, and click 'refresh' twice as many times!
Sure, but his argument (I am probably presuming too much) is that as it stands, lots of people have lots of stuff cluttering up the screen as it is, with chat, "private" messages, general public discussion and information with value all mixed in, and he has to press "older messages" twice as many times.
If we can get away from the idea of it as a personal problem/criticism if possible, then we could decide if we wanted two forums - one for info, questions and discussion and for chat ...

Sophie has not been annoying me, and as I've said I have a 9 year old who has skiied in Bulgaria for several years and is also excited. I'm not directing my comments only toward Sophie, but in children generally. As others have said I don't have to read posting I'm not interested in and I don't, its the ones I do read that THEN develope into childrens chat that is starting to turn me off.

Hi big fleety
Sophie has not been annoying me, and as I've said I have a 9 year old who has skiied in Bulgaria for several years and is also excited. I'm not directing my comments only toward Sophie, but in children generally. As others have said I don't have to read posting I'm not interested in and I don't, its the ones I do read that THEN develope into childrens chat that is starting to turn me off.
I've been skiing in Bulgaria for 14 years, I've been to Pamps 10 times and Boro 6 times so there ain't much i don't know about the place, so when I post, its to give a bit of info, if I can, but also to pick up some new info from others. The last few days have been somewhat chat roomish with a heavy childish influence.
