JUST CONFIRMED THAT ALL CHILDREN NEED THEIR OWN PASSPORTS, GOING OUT ON THE 11TH TO BORO SO HAVE NOW GOT TO GO TO LONDON TO GET PASSPORTS AT A COST OF £70 PER CHILD, NOT A HAPPY BUNNY!!!!!!
THANK GOD FOR THIS SITE OTHERWISE WE MAY NOT HAVE BEEN LET INTO THE COUNTRY!!!!
Just read your posting, we returned from Bulgaria on the 8th Jan and neither of our children have their own passports and there was no problem. Also went last year and no problem then either. So don't go dashing into London when you don't need to.
Rules will change on the 31st to come in to line with the Rest of Europe, as you go on the 11th of Feb you must get passports for kids (look on F/O web site) Its a pain we are going on the 28th so coming back may have been fun! We would have had to leave them there!!!!

We travelled on 14th, returned on 21st Jan - wth both kids on our passports - as I understand it the rule is, if kids are on passports up until October 1998 that's OK. After that they need their own passport. We had no problem with passport control.
