If you really want to get rid of your cold - get a hotwater bottle and some vicks - put the vicks on your chest and then wearing an old tshirt put the hot water bottle on your chest too and do this while you are at home watching tv. Believe me it works - I had the worst flu here in Amsterdam (it gets so cold here compared to London) and thats what I did and it got rid of it in no time! It works for a cold as well - makes your lungs think it is really warm!! Then throw in a few hot whiskeys when you just have to get out and socialise and you're away!
