Camcorder?

This'll be my first time snowboarding.

Thinking of buying a cheap mini digital camcorder to record some amateur footage of the antics of me and the gf (snowboarding) once we get the hang of some moves. Would this be a good idea to take onto the slopes or will it be STUPID

Good idea! Only problem is the LCD screens dont work too well in the cold. All done through the view finder which is quite tricky.

What about normal aps type cameras will these be ok???

The camcorder I'm looking at is tiny and only 86x40x68mm (about twice the size of a matchbox in height, width and length)

This was something i was wondering about as well. We are taking the camcorder but we werent sure whether its safe to take on the slope while were at snowboarding school?

You will find that there are professional guys who follow your school for the week and create brilliant videos of the whole group which are available from the Instructors on the presentation evening - about £15.00 and a very worthwhile purchase.

This happens in Pamps anyway

Point and shoot cameras are fine, as is the footage you get from digital camcorders. just hard to pick out the right person coming down the slope through a view finder!!

Never used one so dont know what it would be like. not much zoom scope i imagine

Its 2x digital zoom and video is low res @ 320x240. Nothing pro, just fun stuff for the PC really.
