Don't know if this is possible but can the forum be modified so that it remembers the username and password (keep logged in type option) as I use about 4 different devices to access the site and it's a right pain in the backside having to enter my full login details every time.

The problem must be your end Jez as you should only ever need to log in once unless you clear your browser. The system does already save the user name and password after you have entered the security letters and that should only ever need to be done once.Unless I'm missing something here

Nope...Firefox on pc, safari on mac, iPad and iPhone all require you to login in again. I notice that if I login on one device then the next time I go to the site on another device I ne to login there - and it's forgotten my details.
Also, if you get the login details wrong it does not keep the email address in the user name box so you have to type it in again.
Grrrrrr ;-)

JezIt will be a browser setting problem. For Firefix check Tools > Options
Privacy - Firefox will remember history
Security - remember password for sites
play around with those settings
as for iPhone I am having the same problem myself have to enter login/password each time, havent found a way to save it each time yet... there might be a same setting for Safari browser for idevices....

For iPhone safari go to settings > safari autofill then choose names and passwords ...... That will remember the details hope that works for ure: Can the forum remember my login details
Thanks SPP should have checked Safari autofillTo be fair, FF does remember the login but only as I type - i.e. it brings up the full email address as I start to type it in and then it will remember the password.
iPhone (3gs) safari autofill makes no difference however...
iPad 2 autofill does work
The site could aid things by putting the username in a cookie and loading that when the login page loads ;-)

Sorry PP - I don't mean to pass the buck and it's true that I needed to have the correct settings in Safari on my Mac and iPad. The fact my iPhone does not autofill is not the fault of the site. All I was adding is that the site does not auto remember the username. It's not right or wrong - just an observation.
It also seems that logging in from on device will expire the session on another device hence requiring you to login again when you next use that device. I am assuming this is ...

I am assuming this is down to the server managing a session id and this getting reset with a new login. Again, just an observation based on the fact I flit between 4 devices all the time.
