Car Rental

Hi all,

Off to Bulgaria on 23rd and planning on renting a car is Sofia to drive to Borovets.

Can anyone recommend a rental company?

Also, what's the drive like this time of year?

If you do rent - be sure you have a set of snow chains supplied.

Bulgaria car rent (google it)

Been using them for nearly 2 years now. Great service and prices + they will drop off and pick up at the airport.

For Borovets, no snow chains will be required. Bulgaria car rent always use decent winter tyres. and also the roads are quickly cleared.

Get snow chains! You will be in trouble if you are stopped and don't have any snow tyres or not.

Oh no you wont, that is an urban myth

Only required on roads with snow chain signs on

which the borovets road doesnt.

Which arefar and few between. Last year Police were insisting on chains to continue on the Plovdive to Smolyan roads. No myth but fact
