I booked for Feb 2009 half term back in March this year. Paid £160 a head return all inclusive of taxes etc, Bulgaria Air Gatwick to Sofia at nice sensible times.
Same flights are now £220.
I found them using opodo.co.uk Didn't want to fly from Luton with Wizzair (late arrivals, delays if there's fog etc) and half term prices were about the same anyway). Easyjet flights for February are released in August but I didn't want to risk waiting and miss out.

Cheapest way to go is to save Airmiles and fly BA for free - but you have to be really on the ball to get the flights on peak days - they become available 331 days in advance, I tried 332 days out and had missed them!
I'll know better for next year, and I'll have got more miles by then!
