I decided to lighten the mood a little from the doom and gloom of no snow - I am confident I will find something to ride and if theres not alot I will be practising Flatland tricks and switch riding!!! YAY!!!

re: Cheer Up

Well i wont be taking my Vokll 168 Powder Board.
Switch riding must be the way forward, ive been saying im going to do it for the last two years but always seem to end up bombing the runs instead. Not going till the 20th jan so might end up doing it again but if snow doesnt come then technical i will get, I FEEL BETTER ABOUT IT ALREADY , THANKS.

re: Cheer Up

Mark - A snowskate!!
Snowskate = Most fun you can have on not alot of snow!!

Imagine a skateboard - remove the trucks and wheels and make the top layer a bit foamy!!

You now have a non turnable but ridable snow style skateboard. HEHEHEHE

As specified earlier it doesn't turn easily but it can get a fair lick of speed!!!

Kris - Whats your new board????
Smile

re: Cheer Up

Mark.
a snow skate is the most dangerous invention know to man, virtually impossible to stay up on and just as much if not worse a danger to those watching, if your ever offered a go run away and report the offender to the local police.
i won one in a pub comp in queenstown 4 years ago and after spraining both wrists on my first attempt resigned it to a watery grave at the bottom of the lake.
tiz the devils own idea of fun.

re: Cheer Up

Plithy - A little harsh!!
The benefit of a snowskate is that it can be used in the meagre amount of snow we endure here in the UK!!

It's more fun when someone says - That looks easy, Gis a go!!

I am always happy to oblige!! Razz

re: Cheer Up

Andy - Rip Curl has come out with snowboards and skis this season. They are manufactured in France by APO Snowboards. I tested mine in Norway couple of weeks ago and was pretty satisfied Smile

re: Cheer Up

as i cant even ski yet, i'll give it a miss, but once iv'e got my ski-legs on and im up and running i'll give anything a go !!, i think i'll pop into the garage and take the tucks and wheels of my skateboard and pop it into the suite case.
