We are going to Borovets on the 15th Jan 04,taking our two daughters,4yrs and 6yrs, both first time skiers. Do we need lift passes for them and what can we expect from the Rila studios? Any information and advice will be appreciated. Davere: Children
Rila is basic but ok go with an open mind and remember it is still eastern europe and it will be fine. Not sure on the lift pass thing if they are booked in kindergarten probably not but if they are in any lessons they will as you need them for all lifts even the baby drags on the nursery slopes.re: Children

Thanks Vicki, So many differing reports, so we are going with an open mind and hopefully we will have a nice suprise. We have been told that under sevens do not require a pass,I find this hard to believe and we don't want to be stung for hundreds of pounds when we get there if we could buy them now.Dave

not sure as you need the pass to get on the lifts they all have electronic gates and there is not always someone aoundre: Children
No the children usually just push in I've tended to find..

Im going on saturday with my 4 year old boy. I was told the same as you, that you did not need a lift passed forchildren under 7.
we have not booked him in kinderg. and booked skis and boot from hear. He can ski so i want him in lessons with my wife. I have booked my wife in and me a lift pass. I was told I poss would be able to put him in as a friend did the same last year.
If you don't ski yourself then i would advise to book them in somthing.
If all mine goes wrong then I will be ...

Thanks mate, excuse the ignorance, but what do you mean by friend. My wife ski's but I am new to the game, so I have booked lessons from here, nothing for the children yet though.re: Children
a friend went last year in march. booked his in kinder. then took hear out after two days she was 5. if yu want to chat it Noodles on the board.Are you skiing or going to board. They say three days of lessons on skis is like one day on the board.. Im trying to say you progress faster on the board, but then again if you want to be with your kids then they will have to learn skiing.
