Just booked Borovets with Neilson for 23rd Jan staying at the Samokov on a half board basis with Ski/Boot Hire & Lift Passes for 7 adults. Worked out at £497 per person which includes insurance with a separate company.
I think that is a cracking deal, but was curious if you could do it cheaper without going with a tour company and booking it all yourself?
Surely you would be hard pushed to beat that price?
going to Bansko for christmas costing around £350 each that includes lift pass, ski carriage, transfers is self catering but wouldn't eat at hotel anyway, same time through crystal would have been nearly 1k, each this was half board. Think you can do it cheaper yourself.
Booked with Inghams from their earlybird brochure when it first came out .Flights/ski carriage/transfers/hotel half board and lift passes £386 in Borovets

re: Could you do it cheaper on your own?
You have a pretty good deal, it is possible to do it cheaper but you have to book the flights with one of the budget airlines as soon as they come out. Accommodation and ski hire is not really a problem but the flight can be the killer.
Why is it that so many people only seem interested in how cheap they can do it? Remember, you get what you pay for.The cheapest is not necessarily the best.
Agreed don't always do things cheapest but many people are really struggling every brand is heavily discounting and have been all year to get the footflow.
Personally only fly ba as it's barely any dearer plus closer plus good flight times plus 7kg more luggage plus free ski luggage equipment plus proper meal on flight plus drink as much as you like on the plane for free. Welshy - i thought BA had changed their rules and ski luggage now counted as your one allowed bit of baggage, you might want to check so you dont end up being charged at the airport
I'm quite happy with my deal for Bansko in Feb
Booked Bansko for the 27th Feb, staying in the Lion hotel half board.
For me taking my own board and boots its cost £468 inc lift pass, transfer, everything
For a mate hiring board and boots out there, and to have a 3 hour private lesson in a group of 4 ...

Went with Crystalski who I’ve used before a few times, they were doing buy one get one free list passes and a couple of other little discounts.
Didn’t book the lessons or board and boot hire through Crystal.
Cheapest isnt always the best but if you've done your research and know what you're doing then it can be
I went to Pamps last year for £302 halfboard including liftpass, stayed at the snezhanka, cost my mates who were hiring board and boots aswell £344, bargain
The rules for BA have changed from about the end of October, checked all this out as going to Bansko in Jan. You can have one allowed piece of hold luggage free up 23kg i think sizing has changed as well and a carry on bag of reasonable weight. What i like about BA is if i want another bag its about £15 - £20 more and another 23kg, go check out there web site.
