re: Currency........boring I know

Take a small amount of Levs and the rest in sterling notes which must be in good condition ie no rips, tears or writing on them. The rate of exchange in resort is usually better than you will get here.

re: Currency........boring I know

Levs and GBP (not marked or ripped) seemes to be the way to go.

Best Exchange rate I saw in Bansko was 2.8 at the Kempinski. It varies every day though.

rate in rila was 2.70 we got 2.5 in Thomas Cook not that it matters that as no one seems to have any change anyway, watch your change as some of the places would give you change from 10lv instead of the 20lv note you gave them

Rates changed every date. We changed all ours at Marks and Spencer for 2.8 before we left. Rate in Boro was consistently 2.81 or 2.82 for 3 days and then it dropped everywhere to 2.7 by the end of the holiday. The choice is yours....

I agree that small amount of levs with GBP is the way forward. Change Plus is my recommendation if going to Borovets.

re: Currency........boring I know

if you buy levs over there make sure you change it at banks or in reccommended hotel as they rip you off in exchange places,
