Hey Pete, This is bloody shocking !!!!!!!! Just had a quick look round after reading your post and the best i could spot was 2.1 -- But that may have commision......
Remember that the bank rates advertised ARE NOT the tourist exchange rates.

To think i used to get 50 Lev to the £, Oh !! The good old days !!!!!!!!

re: Current Exchange Rate

Thanks for the info Steff. Reckon it better to change up in BG then or if you have a Nationwide card which gives good exchange rate and no commission then use the cash machines out there. 2.1 is dire eh!

Won't get any better unless they raise the interest rates here!!

re: Current Exchange Rate

Latest news: "Horror story" industrial output figures raise expectations UK interest rates could fall close to zero next year"

Zero rate increasingly looks a reality and with it the rate of the pound dropping to two leva or even below. Can someone explain to me, why is everyone in this country so fond of the pound sterling? If we had adopted the Euro already, we would not be finding foreign travel so expensive now.

I am desperate for an explanation, please!!!
