I've recently bought the wife a pair from Ellis Brigham in Liverpool, (they have a store at the slope in Castleford). The service she received was second to none. We were there for over 2 hours whilst she tried on about 6 pairs of boots. She eventually went for a pair of Head boots, they moulded the insides, sorted out support and stretched the outer so that they felt like "slippers". All this and boots for £200. Would def recommend them.re: Custom or not?
Heard a lot of good things about lockwoods...Think thats about as far as i wanna go really..and they are very good on pricing...with a top range of boots..Tiger

They will even make you a cup of coffee whilst you are being fitted

Try not to go on a Saturday though. Very popular.Much quieter in the week which is better cos you will spend the best part of a couple of hours getting it right.

I got one 10.5 and the other11 if i go into a shoeshop i'm always nicking the odd pairmust drive em crazy...Tiger

Tim theres someone else out there with the same problem the other way round don't feel guilty.Yes Lockwoods are very good. I had mine fitted there. I'll get you a beer if you are coming up here for them.
