Diverted to Sofia

Hi all

Has anybody ever been diverted to sofia due to bad weather @ plovdiv airport as a friend of a friend has.Whats the transfer like etc etc (4 sleeps till pamps)

Better than being diverted to Bourgas!! No joking that happened last year due to fog and I think it involved an 8 hour+ transfer. I think it is about 4 hours but I may be wrong. Pamps Pete is the one to help you acurately on this one.

Try not to worry as it rarely happens and is really bad luck if you're on the plane that is diverted.

Plovdiv to Pamporovo = 90 minutes
Sofia to Pamporovo = 4 hours.

It does happen sometimes, to keep your fingers X'ed.

It's a double edged sword!

I have only ever been diverted to Sofia when there has been TOO MUCH SNOW! It's worth it for that reason!

We are going to Pamp in March. When we booked we were told that flights from Manchester do not land at Plovdiv.

The coach journey is approx 4.5 hours, the coach stops so you can get something to eat etc.

Last year we did not ge to our hotel till about 1am - which is a nightmare when you have to be up early for the ski school.
