Having grown up in a third world country, was wondering if the helpers at the hotels would appreciate small gifts from the UK that are either too expensive or impossible for them to purchase there ie: soap, toothpaste etc. Is it the same in Bulgaria??
Val you 're really so developed in the UK?
The tragedy is that the only developement in UK is the soap and the toothpaste...
From people like you i see that there is no developement in UK in culture and civilization even nowadays.
I 'm from Greece and i have to tell you that unfortunately you can' t exchange soaps and toothpastes with culture and civilization.
Have a nice holiday... and if you have so many soaps bring some to Greece too...
The only thing you need to bring to Bulgaria with you is your good self and a little spending money.Thats all you will need to enjoy yourself in this lovely country. I have no doubt that your concerns about conditions in Bulgarian resorts were out of ignorance rather than malice. enjoy yourself in Bulgaria
Im concerned that val shouldn't be leaving the house never mind going out of the country. I hope you enjoy your time in Bulgaria and i hope you learn something from your time there.
I suspect a couple of traditional britsih gifts (roll royce or TVRs, maybe the odd jaguar) wouldn't go amiss if you can squeeze them in your hand luggage.
