Does anyone Know......

If when flying with balkan your boots are included or excluded in the 20kg's baggage allowance?

Many Thanks

Steve

re: Does anyone Know......

Yes they are included in your allowance Steve. As Judith said earlier they can be about 6kg. I am just going to stick mine in hand luggage. I have never had my hand luggage weighed yet. So I will risk it.

re: Does anyone Know......

I have already rung and asked them a few questions about this.

I have pre booked my snowboard onto the plane at a small charge.

I would prefer to put by boots into a boot bag, but....

If I put the boots in their own bootbag and put them in alone, then they are part of my 20kg allowance.

However, if I put them into my snowboard bag then they don't count.

This makes my snowboard bag heavy enough to break anyones back!

Since it's all going on to same plane, I would have thought they would prefer several 'light' bags instead of one heavy one! (There seems to be no weight restriction on the snowboard bag!)

Hi

Why don't you pad your snowboard bag out with clothes, and use the space saved and weight allowance for your boots either in a seperate bag or in your suitcase

re: Does anyone Know......

My original plan was just to have one board bag, put both our boards in the one bag (this was also okay with Balkan) , pad it with clothes and pack the boots in their own bag.

So now I've bought a new snowboard bag. and we'll be packing them seperately. Boot will probably being going in the board bag.

I've had problems in the past with the edge of my board 'slicing' though some of my clothes, so I'm wary about doing this with any of my clothes that matter (i.e. like most women most of ...

We'll get there, the board and boots will get there in some fashion and we'll all have a really good time.

Can't wait

If you boots fall out of the locker lets pray that they land on your own head and not some unsuspecting innocent passenger . Your boots are not part of you luggage allowance, though must be checked in at the same time as your other luggage. Then taken to a separate desk to be checked and put on board. The reason they have to be checked in at the same time so they can be tagged etc. Are you this reckless on the slopes?

John

P.S. wonder how long this post will stay up?

And how pray tell will they fall out of the locker? Of course the locker will just spring open mid flight and they will get up and jump out wont they John?
