The report I have posted on this site is factual. I went all over the runs that I was allowed to go (as a boarder) and posted comments. In no way are the current snow conditions "Good". Believe what you will...
Believe in the Buck i had the same thing reports contradict with what people are saying.
Read the postings that others have written this will be your best bet

I have also just returned from Borovets. We (boarders) were using all runs at the top of the gondola (blues to the bottom of drag lifts and reds down to middle station on Gondola and bottom). up until our last day (friday) and at no point did any of the lifties say that we were no allowed to use the slopes. We were by no means the only boarders using these slopes either as on the last day there were many good boarders out.
Would agree about the rocky patches though esp on the red runs ...

Don't know about the 4 man runs as we tended to avoid these due to the busy nature of slopes at the bottom of runs.
tHERE WAS A VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF ICE IN pAMPOROVO, MAILY ON ONE SLOAP, WHICH IS USED BY JUST ABOUT EVERYONE, FROM THE MID STATION TO THE BOTTOM. LAST COUPLE OF DAYS IC STARTED DUE TO LACK OF FRESH SNOW AND SO MUCH USE, AS FOR BOROVETS, THE PEOPLE I WAS ONE THE 5.5HOUR DELAYED PLANE, AND 3.5 HOUR FLIGHT WITH THAT I SPOKE TOO DIDNT COMPLAIN OF ANYTHING UNTOWARD, ALTHOUGH THE CONDITIONS WERE DESCRIBAD AS NOT AS GOOD AS PAMPOROVO EVRYONE HAD FUN, AND NO COMPLAINTS WERE SERIOUS.
Nigel, thats interesting. We were told by our instructor that snowboarder's were banned from Markoudjika drag lifts and a friend of mine told me that he had seen a sign at the bottom gondola station staying the same thing.
We complained to our Bulgariaski rep, Valdi, who also confirmed the ban for snowboarders, and stated that there was nothing he could do.

Are you confused with the runs that I am refering to? From the top of the gondola down they are all ok. The learning slope at the top of Markoudjika is again ok. But the drag lifts marked 7,8 and 9 http://www.bulgariaski.com/borovets/borovetsskiruns.shtml are the banned drag lifts. I cant say that I went done there, as I didn't fancy the walk back up as we were banned! I just took the sign (at the gondola station), instructor and site reps word for it!
That is interesting. Definately went on the lift marked 9 throughout the week, didn't go to the ones further along as the first time I went they were very bumpy and I am a woose.
Also must be blind as didn't see the sign, this is entirely possible as I didn't see the sign the day the top station was closed but had good runs down to the bottom that day, plenty of fresh snow.
Mainly interesting as even if there was a ban the lift guys didn't know or care about it. I would have ...

Mainly interesting as even if there was a ban the lift guys didn't know or care about it. I would have been fumming if they had said anything as the best runs were definatlely up the top and I am sorry that you guys were unable to use them.
