E111 and insurance

Now Bulgaria are in the EU does this mean that E111 are accepted?
I've still got my annual insurance though my union from my last trip so i'm still well covered! ;-)

FYI we have just returned from pamporovo while we were there one of our party unfortunately needed the doctor, the first thing he asked to see was e111 once he had seen that everything was taken care of for him

re: E111 and insurance

I've just registered here https://www.ehic.org.uk/InternetPROD/home.do

But it takes 7 days although if you phone 08456050707 with your NI number they should be able to give you your details!

Although I rest a little easier knowing that I've still got cover from last years trip!!

re: E111 and insurance

However, it does say you are okay if you have an NHS card which we do, but not an EHIC (replacement of the E111), so I presume we're okay?
