Easter in Pamporovo

Current conditions look bad (I thought it couldn't be worse than last February but Sad) stoudenets looks like it's rapidly turning into a mud bath and there's no water for cannons, even if the temperatures were suitable.

So, what's to do? Bicycle hire? Any horses to learn to ride?

Lovely people; can you recommend me something to look forward to?

re: Easter in Pamporovo

We'll be arriving Easter Sunday (or, chocolate day as some are known to call it around these parts!). Unless you're staying a fortnight, we won't cross skis.

I shall look forward to some reporting from resort though if you're up for it.

re: Easter in Pamporovo

I've just been going through stuff. I'm now worried! I'd rather not go than be hideously disappointed Sad

Don't know what to pack, helmets?. Will we ski? The newspaper's reported walking!!! I have loads of clothes for the orphanage, will they want them?

Have booked ski school, we're not beginners but not proficient to go alone, we'll be scuppered won't we? *wails*

Could anyone reassure me, please?

Hi there,

I have just returned from Pamps and can offer you a little hope. The conditions were very warm for most of the days we were there but we managed to ski for the full 6 days mainly by sticking to the top runs. People we spoke to who were there last year said that, in comparison, this was loads more! There were a couple of nights when a light dusting helped things to prolong the snow covering - but it was still lessening during the day due to wear and tear and the warm temps. My ...

My guess is that unless there is a consistent run of very warm days then there will still be a bit of snow left and there will be skiable areas up top - although these will have to be negiotiated very carefully (so deffo take helmets!!)
I'm no expert forecaster - just offering my opinion.

Fingers crossed for you - enjoy!!

Wink

Kitty - I'm going out on the 22nd from Bristol.
Am slightly concerned about the runs stoopid webcams. Last year when we went, didn't look at any webcams so couldn't panic about it. Did have a massive dump over the same week last year, so fingers crossed.

As long as there's some runs that can be used we'll all have some snow fun and if not, there's the White Hart, cheap shops and the Casino Very Happy
