Bulgaria are only joining the EU, not adopting the Euro just yet. I personally think the prices will now stabilise, they cannot afford to try to go head to head with the more traditional ski resorts as people may as well go there instead.
might it be the same as the rest of europe when they changed over, you'l end up paying in levs getting change in euros, getting totally confused and probably ripped off!!
hoping that the euro stays away for a wee while, as i'm off on the 13th (of all days)!!
agree with the point of them needing to be careful rising the prices to come closer to other european prices, as it'l be counter productive regarding number going out to bulg!!
oh g*d, ......we ie UK are in the EU, are we in the Euro?????????? NO, will Bulgarai be in the Euro on 1st Jan...NO, and not for at least 3 years, so it will have no effect at all...will it effect you holiday over new year?? well what do you think?? i suppose there is just the slight possibility that there might be a BIG party come New Years Eve, but hey im only guessing
Acceding countries to the EU have to operate under the exchange rate mechanism for two years after accession, so the earliest that Bulgaria will be eligible to adopt the Euro (subject to meeting the necessary fiscal criteria) is January 2009.
You will no longer need to take your passport.
You can bring up to 10,000 fags back.
All Bulgarian will be ordered to speak fluent English.
The Daily Star will be on sale.
All slot machines will be converted to take The Euro.
