Matt, withdrawing from a cash machine has the same rate, but your bank usually charges a fee. Maybe you're just with a great bank, but most would probably get the best deal exchanging £s rather than using an ATM.

I checked that Stu, I worked out including the % that First Direct charged me and it still worked out at 2.35.

Hi,
Are we better getting a few Levs before we travel so that we have some cash as soon as we get to Sofia so that we can stop at a supermarket ? Or is it better to use a cash point at the airport ?
