Exchange rates

Looking on currency converter app, its giving a pound to lev value of 2.43, if this is correct all us Brits are in for a good one this year!!

Hi Paul,

It is 2.41 in Samokov today - went down to 2.38 last week but hopefully on it's way up again - this time last year was 2.27 so it's looking better regardless...

Hi all,

I've been looking at a few places over here in England and the best conversion I can see is the post office at £1 = 2.28lev. What's the prices like out there compared to buying lev at home?

I wouldnt ever buy lev at home as it is always a better rate in bulgaria, just make sure to use the banks as they won't rip you off.

The rate today in the Fi bank in the rila hotel is 2.33 lv which isn't bad, but as kas says its better in samokov.

If you have a Cheque Center near you and you want some Lev to get you started, in Hastings today they were offering 2.318 no commission. Tonyt.

In bansko obb bank, you get 2.38 today, but all the banks are pretty close to that. Even the ones at terminal 1 airport, The old terminal that is. I do not know the knew one, but surely the Banks are the same everywhere. There are Banks, in departure (obb) and arrivals , Blugaria side of ustoms.
