Exit Visa???

Hi ya,Iv been told that i need a exit visa, but as iv had feedback i wondered if anyone has heard this before,I have booked everythin by my self not through a travel agent. but wen i went to ask a travel agent today she sed she hasn't heard of a exit visa???
Joy applebee sed its compulsery to get out the country??

HelloYeah you do need an extra visa to leave Bugaria. Ours were given to us by our hotel when we left (we had to hand our passports in) but we booked through a travel agent so not sure where you would get these other wise. Aparently they sting you big time cost wise in the airport if you dont have one.

Hi Sarah Louise,I stayed with Joy and co last week (fab place) and can confirm that you need to register with the local police and the council with the first day or 2. You will get your exit visa then. They will take this from you at the airport.

No the hotel, make a note that you stay in these hotel from these day till these day, this will be stamped by the police and the hotel staff put it in your passport.At the airport the boarder police have a look to them and thats all. But you need it, some years ago they make soem trouble if you haven't it in your passport, so better have look for this.

If you don't get one does it mean you are forced to stay and have another weeks skiing

Hi ya,Do you no where the police station is located, as wer stayin in my friends uncle apartment which is next to the hotel avalon. So this means i wont be able to get it from my hotel cus wer not in one???

When you enter Bulgaria you will be checked through at Passport control, When you are given your passport back by PP control be very careful as their should be a little slip of paper inside. I believe this is your entry/exit visa.
Several of our group lost this slip/ were unaware that it was inside PP so when it came time to leave Bulgaria and PP control looked for this slip of paper they would not let these individuals leave without it. As said before, money changed hands and we ...

If you have any kids with you and they don't have their own passports you need to make sure you all get an exit visa otherwise you'll have to pay at the airport.We had trouble last year getting exit visas for our kids - our rep sorted things in the end.
