FAO Pamp Pete

Welcome back Pete, Glad you are well now!!

Seems to be a few unhappy people coming back from Borovets! Is this normal or are they just expecting too much?
I went last year and had a blast! Taking some freinds and family this year and worried it wont be the same!

Same thing occured to me TC.
I think they may have screwed up by closing the single chair and not having the replacement open yet.

Not being a Borro man myself I can't really help buddy, but MrBulgariaSki is there regularly and should update you if you e-mail him.

I'm sure you willl still have a fantastic time.

Do you know why they have closed the single this year and not next and is there any reason why they couldn't open it up again anyway?

I can only tell you what I read on here earlier in the season.

They were supposed to be replacing the 1 man with a 3 man, but why this has not been completed in the 7 months closed season is beyond me.

I think boarderers are affected moreso than skiers as it restricts the accessability to some of the more favoured boarding runs, but this is only what I have read.

Honnestly there s something wrong there.
As a local, the pass was costing 16lv last year. Now there s one lift less and one slope less and the pass costs 22 lv !!!! I hate to be cheated
I think they just followed Bansko because of the renovations there. But of course it was a normal reason to increase the prices for Bansko, not for Boro...

Finally it s funny to see that Pamporovo become the cheapest of the 3 resorts !

I know but I was talking about conditions for locals.
And when you know the average salary for a Bulgarian, to increase the pass almost 40% higher without a reason is not normal...

Read the posting about the guy who got capped last year no one wants to sit in his seat so no investment and decision making seems to of left town
