Hi Andie,
Also been looking for flights to Plovdiv and just seen your suggestion to Mark of a car rental firm who meets you at airport, takes you to wherever (Pamporovo) and leaves the car with you. Can you let me have contact details? Thanks.
You raised a point about satnav earlier on. I have just bought a Tomtom Start for just under a hundred quid from Amazon, which I thought was a bargain. It has Bulgaria on it, and it "seems" to be able to plot the Sofia -Pamps route OK.
I am going out this weekend. If I get back I will post my thoughts on its performance, however if I end up in Uzbekistan or somewhere because of the satnav, you will never hear from me again and will know not to buy one !
It also has Homer ...

Now that the road into Greece is complete, is flying into Kavala a realistic option? I gather it would be around a 2 hr transfer from there. Not much in the way of budgets flying in there either at the mo but its an alternative option for the future for Pamporovo perhaps.

re: FLIGHTS TO PLOVDIV FROM LONDON AIRPORTS
Bad news for Plovdiv for 2010/2011 I have had a quick scoot at the tour op's & all seem to be flying into Sofia. So another quiet year for Pamps ahead I think.
