be preparedfor everything lukewarm in the hotels, if you want a really good meal go to Katy's steak house, steak and all the trimmings, afters and a bottle of wine worked out about £13 per person, well worth it
Hi
We were in the Rila and I noticed that there were one or two microwaves available in the restaurant for you to reheat your food if you felt it had gone cold. I actually found it okay. The bread is lovely and they are great on cake! Eggs they have in plenty cooked every way and plenty of salad stuff so you won't go hungry!! Don't forget the hot chocolate with brandy!
The hotel Mura is ok, I have spent a night there once if you know what i mean. But fear not just at the front of that hotel is the happy duck which does some of the best food in Borovets and defiantly the best breakfast by far so you will be fine. Having said that do explore the resort as there are loads of great places that do good food.
The Bulgarains don't eat food as hot as us - it is their traditional culture to eat food that is cooler to what the Brits are used to. The buffet style meals in the hotels are therefore not kept as hot as we would like.
The restaurants, you will find, will all sell food to order. Ask for it hot and you will not be disappointed.
