HiCan anyone help, this is my first ski holiday and I can not wait. However, Im getting a bit nervous about the snow situation I dont go until the 13th of March and after reading some of the reports im feeling a little
. The resort Borovets whats the night life like? Someone told me that you are better to take American Dollars with you than the local currency or travellers cheques is this true?re: First Ski Holiday HELP

I've just returned from our first holiday in Borovets. I was lucky enough to have a great instructor called Krassee and we were ski-ing really quickly. Krassee told us that they get the best snow in March!. Take sterling with you, and there are two cash machines , 1 close to the Gondoloa and 1 a lad from our group used when the gondolas one was empty but couldn't tell you where that was. As I went with a young family I didn't really explore the night life but from the noise well ...

Great brandy coffess at Karoaki Bar. Have fun!

Best advice Rachel it is a waste of time taking Dollars when you can take sterling with you and exchange it over there. The best place will be your hotel reception make sure you take new notes clean not torn and no writing on them. Travellers cheques are not widely accepted!

Rachel - dont take to much notice of the weather reports. Every time we have been the snow has been great, yet before we went the reports were saying skiing wasnt too good! ENJOYre: First Ski Holiday HELP
There is a cashpoint at the Gondola Station and also at the bank under the Ela Hotel.Enjoy

HiIgnore the weather reports, cause each one says a different forcast anyway, Just relax and when you get there, you'l have a fantastic time. You'l be hooked, and planing next years skiing the moment you land.

bulgarians like to exchange sterling. Night life is excellent. Cheap to drink and eat, with excellent food. The time that you are going will be less busy and that gives you the chance to do what you want. Snow will be great, went to rila last year in march, awsome. good snow, good drink, good food, brilliant holiday.!!!!!!!!!!!re: First Ski Holiday HELP
Hiya Rachel4x ski virgins heading to Borovets on 13th March too!! 2x lads 2x lasses, all of us 19-25....If in need of a crowd to get pissed wiv then give us a shout!!
Staying at the Rila and flying from Gatwick. What bout yrself? How many of you's are going?? CANT BLOODY WAIT!! Been reading message board since we booked in January and its full of mixed reports....Majority of feedback says the place is great for beginners and CHEAP too with a good nitelife!!

Last year - first timer - Borovets - absolutely fab - didn't go until March 15th - snowed most of the time.This year - second time - Pamps - absolutely fab - went Jan 22nd - only snowed a touch
Next year - third time - Back to Borovets
Can't wait....
