Hello Martin! Just to ech what others have said about the boards. Snowboards vary a great deal depending their construction, their profile, their weight range, length, your height, ability, foot size etc etc. I took my own board to borovets for my first snow trip having had the full days boarding lesson indoors and it was carefully chosen for me. The main point is if you give the kids the wrong equipment it will suck the fun out of learning very quickly, its hard to start with let alone when ...

Snowboards vary a great deal depending their construction, their profile, their weight range, length, your height, ability, foot size etc etc. I took my own board to borovets for my first snow trip having had the full days boarding lesson indoors and it was carefully chosen for me. The main point is if you give the kids the wrong equipment it will suck the fun out of learning very quickly, its hard to start with let alone when you are being held back by a dodgy board!
Ive been riding for around 5 years and I'm by no means a snowboarding god but even I would struggle with a board not suited to me!
As for hire/pass I was offered a weeks hire +pass+lessons for an adult for 164gbp.
When you guys get to borovets and get your gear have some fellow boarders from Bobbys look over the setups for you, I'll gladly help myself - other boarders 99% of the time will go well out of their way to help out, offer advice and give you some pointers so don't bemeeafraid to ask!
Other than that have a fantastic trip, say hi uf you see me, i'll be in orange and red and I ride a green board with Kermit the frog on it - cant miss me. All the best!

Feb 23 for 2 weeks. Thanks for the Advise,looks like we will be in Bobbys bar from our first day

Martin - Yes please let me know as I have stayed in a chalet in Boro so if its similar I can let you know what kind of thing to expect. Ours also had a sauna. Also I should be able to give you an idea of location.Villers - I'm out the same day with my other half. I board too. New Banana Board so can't wait to try that on the mountain. I have tested it at MK but it's never quite the same.

The chalet is 2 minutes away just near the main complex looking at google maps. Its amongst a lot of pine trees.Its a private owned one that we have rented , it does look nice, it has a little balcony

HiChildren are welcome in bobbys. In fact they are encouraged so they can escort their parents home
Take clean £20 notes to exchange.Use the crown booths or banks to exchange and always check the rates on the boards as they do vary.
ref equip hire if not sure what you want contact Kas on the board or when you get there and they will be only to willing to help.
