For Those With Kids In Pamporovo

If you go to the Markony for a beer you will see a black fluffy dog called Charla who is always around the bar.

She is now about 15 years old and can be a bit grumpy and will snap if anybody tries to stroke her.

Just ignore her and she will ignore you.

I have never known her to bite anybody but she can be a bit of a scare to small kids if they try to stroke her. Certainly no reason though not to visit the best apres ski bar on the slopes.

Pete - how's it looking over there? we are flying to Pamporovo on 2nd Jan with our 6 year old - first time skiers......please tell us we have something to smile for?.....

I would love to say it's brilliant -- but it's not at the moment.

I only skied 2 runs last week due to the lack of snow - but there is a base layer down and the next substantial fall should see the season well and truely under way.

Hopefully for you guys that fall is just around the corner.

Don't get me wrong - I had a great time just because of all the wonderful friends I have there, and all the new friends I made last week.

I just have a big problem of being pie-eyed by 11am every day instead of skiing my arse off

But if it had been my only visit of the season I'm sure I would have been gutted
