The real problem is that the director admits to knowing Rumi, but is adiment that she never gave her permission to your visit and as such i was heavly critisised. All visits must be prior arranged. The children were in homework study hour at the time of your visit and there homework was not done. the children were punished the next day at school, the children have routine and visits if not arranged proir disrupt their routine. I am sure you were told that it was previously arranged however the director was on holiday at a health spar for 12 days with her cell phone switched off. Whilst i admire the good work in which you do and am grateful for all your support, i would have welcomed you telephoning me to arrange a suitable time to visit.

My interest are really one hundred percent with the children. I just try to do my best and am glad to have your full support.

Amanda, if the director admits to knowing Rumy - I do not think it was fair why you were heavily criticised and why did the director not take this up with Rumy directly? As Rumy has informed me she has had dealings with this orphange before you were perhaps even aware that it existed. Is this the same director that you do not trust? Do you therefore trust the fact that she said the visit was not authorised? As I have said i know Rumy well and trust her and the fact that the visit was pre-arranged.

I am very confused. When we arrived there were children outside,children met us on the stairs and in the hallways. Infact some were smoking outside. while we were in the office, one boy came in from playing to get this hand dressed as he had cut it from a fall outside. They did not appear to be doing homework study. Jasmine was leaving and returned when she seen our car arrive - who was therefore supervising the study? At no time did she tell any of us that this was not a good time or that they were infact studying? If she had have done we would have left, as I would not have wanted to disrupt their routine. To suggest that they were punished as a result of our visit, is once again unfair and I only find that this is turning into a point scoring exercise.
I know Rumy has gave you her number to meet up and discuss the conditions at Stoikite and I can only suggest that this would be an extremely worthwhile meeting due to her expereince and commitment to the orphanages. For now I feel I need to draw a line under this and continue any correspondence with Rumy.
