Malina I believe is a little outside the main resort, it wil have its own bar but you may have to get taxis to the main area for the pubs/nightclubs....
I know a lot of people have advised to go self catering but if you weigh up the amount extra to go half board its not that much, and I think you would spend more money eating out each night, also you can stuff up at breakfast and miss lunch if your budget is tight have a look at the Prespa its a nice hotel and in the centre you may find ...

Stayed at the Malina Village two winters ago.
The chalets are nice, clean and if they remember to turn the electric heaters on they are warm.
They have their own kitchenette with a fridge and a one ring electric hob. Just enough to make a cuppa but no kettle, had to boil water in a saucepan. There is also a mini bar and TV
There are two bedrooms upstairs and a toilet and shower downstairs. So loads of room.
The restaurant served excellent food and doubles up as the evening ...

Reception was in a seperate building.
The good thing is that the village is within walking distance to the ski depot which in the morning is downhill but coming back after a day on the slopes is a bit of an uphill slog, so no waiting for the bus.
The bad thing is that it is 2 miles from the action, but taxis can be arranged from reception, so this is not really an issue.
For two people then this could be a winter paradise.
Last year though I stayed at the Perelik and enjoyed it much more.
