Yes its true, i have snapped my wrist!! Compound fracture with bone at the skin!! I am very upset and really have been crying my out in just sheer pain.
No jokes from me as i write with only one arm and a very painful break. It will take around 5 months to recover!!

We're you wearing wrist supports Benn? I do, and always have, the best £17 i have ever spent. I can't advocate enough to folk about wearing protective gear, when carrying out any dangerous sport. I wear body armour, helmet, impact shorts and wrist guards, i may even wear 661 veggie knee pads if its really ...

On the topic of padding etc for snowboarding, I'm doing it for my first time this year, I bought the wrist supports as recommended, seem like a good buy! Do I need anything else in the way of support etc?

I normally ski but did 50/l50 with boarding one holiday. I bought wrist supports and really appreciated it as you tend to stick your arms out if you catch an edge and your wrists can take a battering. Even so, my wife managed to crack a rib going wham onto an icy slope one morning.
