I live next door to Gatwick (quite literally!!). Leave plenty of time to get to the airport if you are travelling by car, as the traffic in the area has been mental the last few days and this weekend is supposed to be the busiest of the year!
If you get there with time to spare, then there's plent of shopping/drinking to have.

Which gives live departure info for flights. There's also arrivals, so if you know that the incoming flight is on time, then you can assume outcoming flight is on time.
Weather conditions at Gatwick today have been clear until 3pm when the fog came in... currently vis is poor but planes are still departing.
