Gluten Free

Hi
I hope someone can help me. I am on a gluten free diet and I am soon travelling to Pamporovo. I was there last year and found it very difficult in restaurants describing the condition. Does anyone know how to say "I am on a gluten free diet" in Bulgarian!
I travel next week 11th February. I would be grateful for any advice. I'm staying in the Snezanhka Hotel.
Many thanks.

re: Gluten Free

id have thought the rep from the travel agency would be able to help you when you arrive

have you mentioned it to the agency before you go?

re: Gluten Free

You could try doing a search on the net for an English Bulgarian dictionary. It may help.

re: hilarious

Gluten is gluten in most languages, including BG.
Don't you worry, most servers speak reasonable English and you'll be fine. Just request the same food you eat at home.

re: Gluten Free

You shouldn't have too much of a problem - they'll always be meat and eggs available. You don't have to have the pizza and pasta.

Try doing Gluten Free and Vegetarian - I resorted to taking some honey rye bread and some small boxes of cereal but didn't need any of it as there was always something I could eat.
