Yes - just own up at check - in.

If you're lucky and get a generous person checking you in, you may just get away with it.

Hi.Am off on Saturday and have taken my skis for years and have NEVER paid for their carriage. The air lines are rippng you off. If questioned, plead ignorance and say " What Carriage"

Yea - right Richard.

Not good advce, it they charge - then they charge. You may have been fortunate in the past but it's not common practice and I would not advise risking a heafty surcharge.

if your worried just nip to the thomas cook desk desk, before checking in and they will let you know what to do.

I have to say that I would try and blagg it first.....say nothing and see what happens. The worst that can happen is that you have to pay anyway. With all the surcharges etc that are put onto flights these days, why not get something free?
