Gondola 'off' on Monday 27 Feb?!

According to a post down below, the gondola is shut off once a month for technical checks and repairs and this day falls on the first monday of our holiday - Feb 27th.

What does this mean in terms of getting on the hill

How do we access the slopes?

I presume the slopes aren't "closed" for one entire day of our 6 day holiday.... if so I'll be having words with our tour operator... no mention of that in the brochure.

yeah the gondola is shut on last monday of every month it only services half of the slopes the lower slopes get busy

there are several chair lifts to get you to the rest of the slopes check the piste map out

We realise that the chair lifts serve the slopes, but the gondola "appears" to be required to access the slopes/lifts network from the village centre.... or are there buses laid on to take you up the road to the slopes/lifts area? Maybe we are missing something?

ahh, i thought that with the gondola off there was no boarding that day
i can put up with crowded slopes, go off n make a jump or summit

I am really cheesed off-I hope you can get up to the lifts! This kind of thing should be reported to us clients when we book-they know in advance that this is happening-If you can't get upto the lifts with the gondola off whats the point of a 6 day pass?
