Grand Malina?

Has anybody stayed in the Grand Malina. Trying to plan my ski holiday for 2006, usually go to Andorra/Austria. Would like to hear any comments on skiing in Pamporovo and The Grand Malina.

The Grand Malina is a new hotel for the upcoming season so nobody will have stayed yet. Looks nice though,it is out of resort 5 mins by taxi but close to lifts. Very Happy

Thanks Daniel
So is this hotel away from the nightlife as that is quit important too?

re: Grand Malina?

The nightlife is never very far away in Pamps, at worst a quick, and cheap, taxi ride away. The skiing is very good in Pamps. We went twice back in January, and had good conditions both times. The resort is a little more spread out than Borovets, but the skiing is better in our opinion. For what it's worth, we are going back again next January, and already looking forward to it.

re: Grand Malina?

Thats great to hear as I'm very found of Andorra but do want to try somewhere new. which is a good hotel? I'd like one with a sauna/jacuzzi etc after a hard day on the slopes? I've narrowed it down to Orlovetz/Pamporovo/Mourgavets or Grand Malina?

Fairly definite if we're going it'll be Pamporovo. No good?

Hotel Mourgavets is great. Slap bang in centre of resort. Nice clean rooms good bar swimming pool /spa 10 mins ride to lifts. Cant go wrong.

re: Grand Malina?

I agree with Dan here - go for the Mourgavets - it's an established hotel which was completely refubished a few years ago.
