HELP-PASSPORT CLEARANCE

We travel Sat and my friends daughter has only 3 months clearance on her passport, it expires may 2009 - does anyone know how much clearance you need? I think I contacted the bulgarian embassay a few years back and they told me 6 months?

re: HELP-PASSPORT CLEARANCE

Its an ID document rather than a travel document as such now that Bulgaria is in the EU and you don't need a visa - if we had an ID card like the Bulgarians you could use that - so as long as its still valid it will be OK.

re: HELP-PASSPORT CLEARANCE

I would check with the airline you are traveling with all seem to be different. Hubby has traveled in Europe with less than 6 weeks on passport was just adviced at check in to get a new one on return. you should be fine but dont want to get turned away at check in too late then!!!

re: HELP-PASSPORT CLEARANCE

Kevin - that is poor advice. Just because you got away with it does not mean the law has changed.

A minimum of 3 months from the return date is required. Any less and you risk being turned back at the check-in desk.

Cool
