Got a bit of a dilema!
I’m going boarding on satdee with a few mates. They have all boarded before but I haven’t, although I’m a decent skier. I gather that conditions up top are OK, so should I stick to the trusty ski’s and go up top, or should I board lower down.... Probably on my own!!
given the current conditions, i would stick to the skiing. Snowboarding is hard enough when starting, then factor in hard ice and possible bare patches. At least on the skis you will have much more confidence. Just my opinion
you could always wear the padded shorts, knee pads and elbow pads, falls won't hurt as much, plus if you can board on ice then it should be easy when you get better conditions.
I've converted from ski-ing to boarding, it's so much more fun but does hurt a lot more in icy conditions.
OK, because nobody is backing me up on the boarding thing, I've decided to boycott the whole snow adventure and take part in the bar olympics. I'll be drinkin (cokes of course cuz I aint a loud mouthed yob from England) in the bars day and night until somebody drags me home!
