Hi all its been a few years since I have posted but looking at booking agin for feb can anyone give me info on hotel victoria and hotel bor in borovets. mainly looking at distance from town and slopes ie do they run a bus to slopes

I personally have stayed at hotel bor 3 years ago and had no problem whatsoever with this hotel. Its clean, food was certainly ok and rooms fine too. It is a distance of about 15 minutes to centre of Borovets and they had at that time horse and carts outside to carry you to the centre and i think the cost was 10 lev, £4. There is not a lot of difference in distance from resort between the two. Victoria is a very small hotel of 14 rooms whereas bor is 59 rooms.re: HOTEL VICTORIA
I stayed in victoria a couple of years ago. Friendly staff but food limited and not large quantities (especially evenings)-but perhaps it has changed?Cheap enough to eat out-I enjoyed the green king Friendly local with good local food.

Victoria hotel is situated at the beginning of the town of Borovets comming from Samokov main road the first small road at the left side,nice small hotel, friendly staff, cosy restaurant but the food was almost every day the same,we had half board ..this was 4 years ago, its quiter than in the centre but by food with skis its a 15minutes walk up to the skilifts and gondola.Grtz

My wife and I are also in the Victoria hotel from Sunday to Sunday (Flying from Edinburgh)
Sure we will bump into you for a beer at some point
The whole resort sounds class, Hotel looks exactly what I like from riding holidays, cosy and friendly. If the foods edible thats also fine as after a day on the hill anything goes.
As long as the beers cold and the snows deep its all good.

Roger.Sounds like a great plan.
Think we will get to the hotel about 8/9pm depending on the transfer up.
We are both boarders, have 3 other mates coming too but staying in the Rila, they are all on skis so a good mixed group.
Tonights activitys consist of waxing & tuning the board and starting to get ready for the off.Sundays not that not far off. roll on.
Are you in a group or just yourself?
