Half term Flights Feb 2010- Bulgaria Air

Flight info. Just booked flights with Bulgaria Air for next years February half term . They must have changed London Heathrow flight schedule as times are great, we are leaving on Friday 12 Feb at 15:00 arrive at 20:05 and depart at 13:45 on Saturday 20 Feb 2010. Was worried that no sports equipment could be booked but having spoken with the call centre you can each take skies/snowboard up to 10kg free, in addition to your individual baggage allowance of 20kg. No bad for £163 each plus you get a drink and meal on the aircraft. For me personally the price is cheaper than we paid with Wizz Air this year and we booked straight away when the flights became available. Only downside is the fact its Heathrow and not Luton and the extra 40 minutes drive. Very Happy

Balkan are charging £14 for in flight meals next year so think it should be more than the rank cheese/ham roll normally served together with the mouthful of neat coffee! We booked last year to go from Heathrow because the flight times were good, but they change them nearer the time to crappy ones, we wouldn't have arrived in resort until 2am (with 4 young kids!) - we managed to change them to Gatwick for sensible times.I think they put good times up to encourage people to book!

When looking last year at the Bulgaria Air flight time out of Heathrow was very bad, arriving silly O'clock and Gatwick was very good with Sofia to Heathrow being a nice Saturday afternoon departure time return flight. Hence we booked with Wizz Air. Lets hope they do not muck around with flights and change the times. Keep the advised schedule, getting into Bansko around 2300 is great, few beers, some food and bed. Just worked out these flights saved me a grand total of £20.80 on this years ...

In terms of the drink, you get free soft and alcoholic..whilst they only initially give you 1 drink, you can ask for as many as you want and they never charge or say no!! I fly back and forth with them all the time as although the 'meal' is just a sandwich, there's no extras for bags etc and they tend to not worry if your luggage weight is over. Off-peak, they tend to only be half full most of the time... Have done over 20 flights with them in the last year and they have never changed times ...

Have done over 20 flights with them in the last year and they have never changed times / schedule as not a 'low cost airline', so you should be ok! Would defo recommend them, especially at that price!
Happy skiing!
