sorry to upset you guys but I booked early for a summer hol once to crete a couple of months before we flew got a nice letter saying they were changing arrivals airport to the one the other side of island with a nice 4 hour transfer no comp no nothing, they can start selling hols before they have confirmed landing spots if they dont get these they move you to the nearest availble flight, I would check with hol company although they still may not know for sure.re: Has crystal pulled out of PLodiv
How long does it take from Sofia to Pamps because we fly from Manchester and noticed there was no option to fly to Plovdiv this year.re: Has crystal pulled out of PLodiv

First choice are flying to Plovdiv from manchester using thomson fly so you don't need to step foot on a balkan plane!!!!!!

bus ride is a bit long but they will stop for a break and flights usually get in late and most people especially kids are tired and tend to sleep which always makes the journey faster, coming back is worse nothing to look forward except no where to sit in the airport and lost luggage that is going to heathrow then rome then to you

Flew Balkan two years ago. Plane was very old.Booked to fly with them again in Jan. Had hoped they had purchased newer aircraft.
Flying to Plodiv, last time it was via Doncaster. This time I hope it is direct but "we shall see, said the blind man to his deaf friend".
Still going regardless, Bansko this time so the 3.5 hour transfer is a bit tough, going no worries just add alcohol, return journey I will try and sleep.

We are flying Doncaster- Plovdiv with Thompsons on 26th Jan.Has anyone rang to find out why the option is not there? Maybe the Plovdiv flights are fully booked or maybe they are trying to get rid of the Sofia flights first. This happened to me last year. I booked and could only get a flight to Sofia, then a few month later Plovdiv flights were showing so I payed an extra £25 to change the flight to Plovdiv.
