Hi,

Just wondered if anyone had contact address for Pamps ski school? My instructor was so brilliant-but didnt get chance to say cheers! My bro was ill and couldnt even talk and I was bit merry so missed chance to thank him! Not sure how to spell his name but we called him Ivor. He was so blooming patient!! He loved Man U so we wanted to send him a Man U bracelet thingy so any suggestions appreciated! (How much do you tip instructors? We felt a bit mean with our tip!)

Tipping is entirely up to you, but the instructors do rely heavily on their tips as their wages are minimal. Avoid giving them presents as an alternative, they much preder and rely on the cash. 50 levs per pupil is not much more than £15 each and if you think they deserved it, then that would be my reccomendation.

I hate it when the group decide on a tip, everyone should be allowed to put in what they want.... I never allow the group to sway me on the tip - I have heard of so many people that have done that and regret it later - like Pete said for a good instructor 50 lev is nothing - if you think how much you have learnt, how much they have taken care of your safety and also how much they have made you laugh - I cannot believe that some people think 60p is enough for a weeks tip....

whats your instrutors name I can try and get a message to him via a few other instrucotors I have contact with, I am sure he will appreciate it - especially if I tell him you want him next year and you will make up for this years tip....

I know, I really should have said something at the time. Like you said, not only did we learn so much, he really did look after us and gave us such a great time! Not sure of his actual name (think it began with Nmbo or similar?) but we called him Ivor (on his request). He is 28, got a degree in finance and isnt married if that helps! He also works as a translator in the summer and sometimes in a bank I think. He loves Man U! I really really regret giving such a rubbish tip-so any message you can get to him would be really appreciated! Feel so bad that he might not feel appreciated! And yes we hope to return next year...with a much bigger tip!!

Better still Elise next year get him a nice T-shirt or something - I took a T shirt out for someone this year it cost all of £4 from matalan and they were so pleased with it.
Other than the lousy tip:} is there anything else Ivor will remember you for? i will be on SKYPE later with my ski instructor so will ask him to pass on your kind words, if he is still there, they are at the end of the season now so not all of them are needed.
If you like I will ask for his mobile number so that you can ring later in the year and let him know when you will be back next year and if possible he will arrange o be your instructor again.

Yes please thanks Gill, thats really kind of you. Would be great to give him a buzz to say cheers and arrange for lessons next year, he was so good! A Tshirt a good idea too, will bring it out to him or even send it if can contact him.

We were in a group of 7 (Jean, John, Rob in yellow jacket! (my brother), Me (Elise Croot), Shelley, Sue and Bryan (older couple). We got our Ski diplomas last Friday at Apres Ski Bar in Pamps and he went on to BJ`s afterwards. I made a bet with him that Norwich City Football Club would make it to the premiership next season and beat Man United 5-1!!! (Well I was quite drunk!!!)

Any contact details or passing on a message would be so appreciated, feeling so frustratedly guilty!! Any other info you need from me just ask! Thanks so much!
