re: Hotel Belmont

I have just returned from Hotel Belmont. The hotel itself is very good. I would say it is more 5 than 4 star. The food was very good with plenty of choice. Obviously, the earlier you come for dinner, the better choice you get. Breakfast was first class The rooms were quite spacious and comfortable with mini bar, TV and safe in the room. You have to pay for things in the mini bar and the prices are dear so do your shopping in town. There is an excellent spa centre (very affordable prices). ...

You have to pay for things in the mini bar and the prices are dear so do your shopping in town. There is an excellent spa centre (very affordable prices). Bowling centre is nice as well and there is happy hour from 12-5 (7 LEV per person per game). Do not go to the night bar in the hotel cause prices are cosmic. We went there once and paid 58LEV for three double vodka and coke. The staff can be seen as rude and unhelpful but I would say it is the result of language and cultural differences. There are some weird thugs going around the hotel (looked like boss's boys to be hosnest with you) but I heard it is a common thing in Bulgaria too as the vast majority of hotels belong to the local mafia. There is a free shuttle bus to the slopes at 9:15 and 9:45. Anyway the hotel is absolutely worth recommendation
