re: Hotel Bor & Edleweise

Beware the chalet maids, my mate was nearly raped by a big bulgarian woman with bright red nail varnish and red lipstick. She could have played prop for widnes and she took a real shine to him. He was traumatissed for months. Did I mention she was in her 40's and he was 18.

The Bor is mentioned in this report ...

Stayed at them both, nice, clean, warm, reasonable food, cheap (if very small) bar, no complaints at all apert from the 10 min hike up to the resort, but there are horse and carts or taxis if you can't face it.

Stayed at Bor 1999,2002,2004. Think most operators dropped it so dont know if it might have been renovated.
Found it to be 1 of best for food, most rooms were poor unless you got 1 with a bath. Restaurant staff couldnt do enough for you and prices good.
Saying that walk to Snezanka a pain in morning and there was always a group of 25 plus so was always a laugh.
Whats it matter anyway, how long you spend in room, about 6 hours-sleeping!
ENJOY

stayed there last year and going back on Saturday. Stayed in the Mora before and the Bor is much much better and where its situated is beautiful. Its a 5 to 10 minute walk and not a bad one either. I liked it being out the centre to be honest. we would pop in and out when it suited. Just make sure you go the right way when you first walk because we walked miles the wrong way first time ;-) There is a free bus in the mornings.

Food is good and they are really friendly. Warm equipment ...
