Hotel Ela

I'm off to Borovets to the Hotel Ela on the 12th Jan.

Just hear some very worrying news from another wbsite (I can't find it at the mo) but they are saying that there is nowhere to store your Snowboard or Ski's at the hotel.

Does anyone know if this is true or not?

Will they let me take it up to the room instead?

they dont allow boots(wearing) boards or skis in the hotel
best bet is to see guys at gondola ski depot given the right incentive(£) they will look after your gear

Oh.....I wish this was told to me by the travel agent when I booked it! This is seriously gonna mess up the holiday now. There are 10 of us going with our own gear and we won't arrive until after midnight!!! No idea what to do now.

Most of the flights get in in the evenings, hotels have no problem with you having your stuff in the room first night and last night. It's the inning and outing with snowy wet stuff during the week the don't want.

Ski storage at the Breza was just a cellar where you could use your own lock to look after your stuff. It worked fine, but was not advertised as having a Ski storage area.

My family is staying at the Ela from 19th January. Is there really nowhere in the hotel to store your skis? That could be a bit of a problem! Surely lots of people go with their own equipment.

I WAS THERE OVER XMAS AND HAD MY OWN GEAR. NO PROBS ON THE 1ST NIGHT AND AFTER THAT I STORED IN IN THE SHOP UNDER THE HOTEL IN THE CARPARK FOR 3 OR 4 LEVS A DAY. NO PROBLEM AT ALL!!!

no storage for boards?? think that will be my room then...cant see why it would be a problem so long as you wipe the snow off it first...its a ski resort so youre bound to take some snow into the hotel...unless they have snow police on the door..

I have just had a call from Thomson Travel Agents and they have assured me 100% that there is a secure place to keep your skis and/or snowboards at the hotel!

Lets hope this is true otherwise I feel a snotty letter going over to both Thomson and Crystal!

I have booked this hotel through Inghams and was wondering if anyone out there has got any positive comments about this hotel, beginning to wish I had booked the Lion, as this hotel was very good in Bansko

the hotel is very good and we had a great time there you cannot store you skis or boots there but my brother left his at the ski hire place and they were safe there.if you arrive late they will store them over nite for you
