we stayed at hotel lion in bansko last march, it was a lovely hotel very clean, nice big rooms, big bathroom and fresh towels whenever you want them!
the pool area was nice, very nice pool but the hot tub was freezing! a good tip is to take a pair of flip flops with you if you're going to use the pool and can be a bit slippery walking around the outside.
the food in the bar is good, and drinks aren't badly priced and they have big screen tvs with sports channels on. bar staff are nice ...

it's only a short walk to the gondola but the buses are really good, we didn't wait longer than 10mins the whole time we were there.
hope that helps a bit
one hint we got off here last year was to collect white toweling gowns for spa early in week/day or they run out
Agree with everyone else - really nice hotel
Hi YT, Yes I am doing ski school, but my husband snowboards. We have friends that are on the same flight as you also staying at the Lion. How many of you are going and have you been b4.
We went last Jan for our Honeymoon stayed across the road in the Perun. That had a nice outdoor pool, but couldn't justify the extra £200 just for our aniversary. The snow looks brill this year
