Hi Guys, first time to Boro and getting a bit stressed out about all I am reading on this Discussion Board. Has anyone stayed at this Hotel. I know it is a little out of the resort, but is it OK.....any info will help.... Aidanre: Hotel Lion-Boro

you will be fine. It is a little out of the resort but has a regular shuttle bus. It is one of the better hotels in Borovets. It is close to its 4star rating whereas hotels like the Rila and Samokov claim to be 4star but are really 2-3 star.
Personally with Borovets I think you are better being a little outside the resort as the centre is very busy and noisy and looks a little bit cheap. You get a much better mountain/alpine feeling when you stay in the smaller hotels ...

Hi AidanWe're due out in 3 weeks for our second visit to the Lion, you'll be fine,agree it's probably one of the better options in Boro. Food is fine, we never found a day where there was nothing that suited us. Rooms good, but very very warm so take your shorts! Lovely pool & sauna, bar has a good atmosphere, big open fires and the like.
